Becoming a Botox® Model for Training

PRESIDENT OF EMPIRE MEDICAL TRAININGMedical aesthetic providers have plenty of opportunities to take free Botox® training courses. Why shouldn’t patients have the opportunity to get Botox treatments at a fraction of the cost of retail Botox too?
If this interests you, consider becoming a medical aesthetic model. These models are regular people like you who participate in the hands-on portion of an aesthetic procedure training course. Basically, you’re there to help participants practice their techniques under the close supervision of the trainer. Models typically get hefty discounts of up to 50% of the costs, sometimes even more. For many models, this is an opportunity to receive a procedure that may not otherwise have been affordable for them.
Thanks to Botox workshops that rely on regular people to serve as Botox course models, you have plenty of opportunities to participate. And this applies not just to Botox but also to dermal filler training. By participating, models can get access to affordable, FDA-approved Restylane® and Juvederm® filler treatments, too.
Best of all, Botox model training is easy. Here’s what you need to know about becoming a model for injectable aesthetic treatments.
What Can Botox do for you?
First things first. Let’s talk a bit about what Botox is and what it can provide you.
Botox, short for botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is a popular cosmetic treatment that has been used for decades to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face.
Botox works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles, such as those around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. This relaxation of the muscles smooths out the skin and creates a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
Botox is growing in popularity. Consider that the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that from 2000 to 2020, the number of annual Botox injections increased by nearly 459%. One global analysis predicted that the global market value for Botox products will reach $15.2 billion by 2030.

How to Become a Botox Model for Training Courses
You don’t have to be a medical professional — or know anything about aesthetic procedures at all — to become a Botox model for training. You just have to follow these steps and have some patience along the way.
Find Botox Courses in Your Area
First, look for Botox courses in your area.
You can do this simply by Googling “accredited Botox courses in [your city].” You can also visit accredited cosmetic training providers’ websites to find workshop dates near you.
It’s important to choose a reputable training provider like Empire Medical to ensure you’ll be receiving the procedure from a medical professional who is receiving the highest-quality training so that you receive the best possible treatment and results.
Apply to Become a Model
Once you find a training provider that fits your needs and a workshop that aligns with your schedule, you’re ready to apply. You may need to create an online account with the training company first.
The application and health questionnaire should be relatively straightforward. As long as you’re willing to receive treatment from a trainee and your schedule is flexible and your health history meets the requirements, your chances of approval are good.
Keep in mind that others want to be Botox models too, so you might not get your first-choice workshop time. The training provider should take your contact information and call or email you when they’re ready to offer you a spot.
Understand the Potential Costs and Put Down a Deposit (If Required)
Before agreeing to be a model, read all application materials and disclosures provided by the training company. These should clearly outline your costs for the session — typically, Botox at a discounted rate, and possibly other fees as well.
You may be asked to put down a small deposit to secure your spot and register for the seminar. The provider should apply this deposit against your final bill.
Also, the application materials should also explain what the procedure entails, benefits and risks, and other relevant information.
Complete Any Required Model Training Courses
You may be required to take a virtual or in-person model training course before your actual appointment date. You may also be asked which specific aesthetic procedures you’d like to receive and for your feedback on any treatment plan presented to you before the workshop.
Show Up at the Appointment Time and Follow All Provider Instructions
Arrive early on the day of the workshop and listen carefully to the supervising medical professional’s pre-treatment guidance. You’ll need to follow their instructions carefully to ensure training goes smoothly and reduce the risk of side effects and complications.
Enjoy the Experience!
Now comes the fun part — completing your Botox procedure at a fraction of the cost. The procedure itself shouldn’t take very long, though you’ll want to be patient because your injector could be a trainee. You may also be asked to provide feedback about your experience and how you feel about the results. This helps both the trainer and the trainee improve their methods.
If you enjoyed the experience, consider signing up to model for another Botox or dermal filler training course. Or look for other cosmetic modeling opportunities. While not as common as Botox and fillers, aesthetic training providers regularly host workshops for PDO threads, chemical peels, and other minimally invasive procedures too.
Finally, rest assured that the person administering Botox to you will be a trained, licensed medical professional who is receiving specialized training under the supervision of expert teachers. What are you waiting for?
The Benefits of Being a Botox Model
Becoming a Botox model offers several key advantages:
- Significant Cost Savings: As a model, you can receive Botox injections at a fraction of the regular retail price, often 50% off or more. This makes an otherwise expensive treatment much more accessible.
- Hands-On Training Experience: Your participation helps train the next generation of aesthetic providers, giving them valuable real-world practice under expert supervision. This contributes to improving patient care.
- Personalized Attention: As a model, you'll receive one-on-one treatment from the instructor and trainees, ensuring your needs are met and your concerns are addressed.
Aesthetic Improvement: Of course, the primary benefit is that you'll get to enjoy the smoothing and rejuvenating effects of Botox on your own face and skin.
