Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Health Care Practitioners involved in the care of the patients with Aesthetic requests.
Program Overview
To enhance patient care in a practice-based learning environment and in increase medical knowledge in the administration of Medical Hair Loss and Restoration procedures. Enhanced patient care will include professionalism in the administration of medical hair loss services competently, safely, and effectively for patients personalizing and tailoring these services to the individual patient, needs of the patient, and desired outcomes for the patient. Attendees will understand and learn how to avoid risks, pitfalls and health risks to patients to increase compliance and overall care to patients
Learning Outcome
To provide learners with a foundation for following correct standards of care and to learn proper methods to safely administer Medical Hair Restoration procedures and treatments.
Educational Objectives:
- 1. Describe and identify the various methodologies in administering medical hair loss and restorative services from a personalized patient perspective including indications for treatment, contraindications to treatment, managing risk, and setting patient expectations for treatment
- 2. Apply the generally accepted protocols for the administration of platelet rich plasma for various alopecia conditions including combination therapies using conventional medicine. Learn the proper guidelines for the acquisition, patient charting, administration issues (i.e. medical intake forms, informed consents) and the corrective measures for adverse events.
- 3. Practice and Perform and administer medical hair loss services competently, safely, and effectively for their patient personalizing and tailoring these services to the individual patient, needs of the patient, and desired outcomes for the patient. Each participant will understand and learn how to avoid risks, pitfalls and health risks to patients to increase compliance and overall care to patients.
- 4. Identify who is a candidate for medical hair loss and restoration therapies, patient benefits, and long-term correction. Increase patient awareness and offer enhanced patient care in relation to the treatable forms of alopecia in patients.
